Member of the Month

 

 

The member of the month for June is Jason Milligan. Jason has been a member of the Club for 9 ½ years. He has significantly improved his strength and body composition during his time here. He has gained 20 pounds of muscle over the years as well as his mental determination. The Chatham Club and his dedication to his health have been great for his mental health, balancing stress, and feeling great overall.

What do you like most about the Club?

The Chatham Club has something for everyone. There are lots of options for equipment and classes. The Club is very welcoming, and I feel good when I’m here. There are always staff on hand for help, and I like that it’s not an intimidating place to work out.  

What do you like most about Personal Training?

I’ve been working out with Frank for a while now, and I love that he makes the workout process simple. The workouts are challenging but give great direction and push me the right way. He sets guidelines for me and is great with tips so my technique stays correct. We’re always focused on week-to-week progress. I also enjoy doing boot camp classes, muscle shock classes, and yoga to complement the training. All the classes have such great energy and camaraderie.

What are some of your favorite exercises to do?

My favorites include pull-ups, flat and incline bench presses, and weighted walking lunges.

What are some of your least favorite exercises to do?

Barbell squats and deadlifts are not high on my list. I’ve gotten very strong on these, but I can’t say they are my favorites.

What do you like doing outside of the Club?

I coach my daughter’s softball team, so I enjoy that a lot. I like playing tennis, pickleball, and golf whenever I can. My family and I also cook meals from scratch on Sundays. It’s great family time; we can make and eat great meals together.  

What upcoming goals do you have?

It’s about continuing to make progress and my workouts. One more rep!
