MEMBER OF MONTH – HOLLY GOODMAN
Holly Goodman is our Member of the Month for August. She has turned her love of fitness into a competitive passion. In 2015 she took on her first triathlon in south Jersey and has now turned herself into an elite triathlete competing in over 25 triathlons plus 7 Iron Man Triathlons.
Her most recent success story happened last month at Lake Wallenpaupack in the Poconos. This 3-day event started on a Friday with a 250-meter swim followed by a 1-mile run repeated three times. Next came a ½ Iron Man(1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, 13.1-mile run) on Saturday. As if that wasn’t enough, she followed that up on Sunday with a sprint triathlon (750-meter swim, 12-mile bike, 5k run). She finished 1st, 2nd, and 1st in the three days and was crowned the Women’s Champion for the 3-day event! What an accomplishment!
Next on her agenda is an Iron Man in Ireland and then the IronMan World Championships in Honolulu in October. We are proud to say that this athlete is a member of the Chatham Club, and we wish her the best of luck!
