Sports Performance Training at The Chatham Club offers a methodical approach toward improving speed, strength, and flexibility in young athletes ages 12 years and older.

Our sports performance specialists completely understand the science, training philosophy, exercise methodology, active coaching process, error detection, and athletic mechanics required to build more talented athletes. With this specialized knowledge, our sports performance trainers are in a powerful position to affect young athletes in a positive and rewarding way.

Meet our Sports Performance Training Director Robbie Arnold

Robbie earned his B.S. in Physical Education and Coaching from the Peru State College of Nebraska. He is a certified Personal Trainer through NASM. Robbie holds additional certifications in Sports Performance Training, FMS, Alloy Training, USA Weightlifting and USA Track and Field. Robbie was an All-American football player and team captain in college. With more than 20 years experience in the Sports Performance field he has trained both male and female athletes in many different sports. Several of his athletes have gone on to become All-American and All-State athletes themselves. Robbie specializes in team training and is known for helping, educating, motivating, and building a young athlete’s confidence.

SADIE JAVELLO

1. What sport do you play, where, what position?
I’ve been playing soccer at PDA and Chatham, but now I’m excited to start a new chapter as a freshman at Kenyon College, continuing my soccer journey.

2. What is your favorite thing about your team/sport/school?
My favorite thing about my sport is being with my teammates, competing, and working really hard together.

3. Why do you enjoy training at TCC with Robbie?
I’ve been fortunate to train with Robbie, who creates a positive atmosphere and pushes me to be a stronger player.

4. What are your favorite exercises?
My favorite exercises are 120 sprints and deadlifts.

5. What is your least favorite exercise?
My least favorite exercises are 144s and sleds.

6. Thanks to your training, Have you seen any improvements in Strength/Agility/Speed?
My training routine with Robbie has been focused on strength, speed, and agility. This has significantly improved my performance, making me feel much stronger on the field than before.

7. Any goals for this year?
My goals for this year are to become stronger and faster and have a great impact on my upcoming college season.

8. How long have you been training with Robbie?
I have been training with Robbie for over 1.5 years!
